Question:
Help! I can't connect to Warez! Whenever I turn Warez on it just says connecting - What should I do?
Answer:
You could be running a firewall that's preventing Warez from connecting properly. If you are using programs such as Norton, try lowering your security settings.
If you have Windows XP, disable the XP firewall in the systems settings in the control panel.
Exit Warez and wait a minute or two. Load the program again.
Be sure that the "Auto-Connect to network..." option is checked under the Warez preferences section which can be accessed under main on the header toolbar.
You may be running an old version of Warez. Uninstall the program completely. Restart your computer. Download new copy of --->Warez. Install this then try running the program again.
Due to development, Warez may take an abnormal time to connect to nodes. So instead of connecting instantaneously, it "sits" there on connecting. Be patient and allow Warez to take the neccesary time to try to connect.
If Warez takes a questionable (30 minutes or more) time to connect, there could be some network issues. Exit the program. Wait. Then try to connect again--this problem (which is the most common) naturally fixes itself after some time. Do not disturb this process by installing and uninstalling Warez without actually giving it a chance. There has even been isolated reports of Warez taking as long as a day to configure correctly. This is extremely rare, but it can happen.
