Searching for generic media files quickly
Search for generic media files on the Warez P2P network by clicking on the search icon located on the main tool Bar. The search side bar will appear giving search options. Typing text in the dialogue box and clicking on the search now icon will initiate a search of the network. Search results will appear in the search field main window.
Choose from the button options (All, Title, Author) below the search dialog box to define what text the P2P network searches for.
New Search
To search for a new file click on the new search icon on the secondary toolbar. This will clear any text from the search side bar dialogue box and search field main window. New search can also be selected by right clicking on a file in the search field main window.
Refining your search results
The search side bar has button options that control the type of file formats (All, Audio, Video, Image, Document, Software) returned by a search. When selected the search side bar will modify to enable a simple search of the desired file format only.
Clicking on advanced search gives further dialog boxes for refining your search. Choose fields from the drop down options to further improve search results.
Clicking on back in the search side bar will revert back to the default generic media files search option.
Filtering search results
Typing text in the filter dialogue box located on the secondary tool bar will filter out files that contain that text only and modify the files displayed in the main window.
Sorting search results
Clicking on the column headers at the top of the search field main window will sort all the search results alphanumerically.
Column order can also be arranged by dragging and dropping in the main window with the mouse.
Stopping a search
Once Warez P2P Client has been initiated for a search it will continue to search the network for users with the files. The stop search icon on the search side bar stops this process. Stop search can also be selected by right clicking on a file in the search field main window.
File information
A search will provide basic information on the file such as title, author, type, size, status. Depending on the file type searched for the information columns in the main window may appear different.
The meaning of status - graphical way of representing the number of sources (users). 1* indicates 1 source. 2* indicates 1 to 9 sources. 3* indicates 10 to 19 sources. 4* indicates 20 plus sources. The greater number of sources a file has the faster it will download.
Further more detailed file information can be found by hovering the mouse over a file.
Find more of the same
Right clicking over files returned from a search in the main window gives an option for find more of the same. Selecting this option performs an alternative search using the advanced search function on the search side bar. Options are given to search under artist or genre.
